A selective, in-person research program where students develop their own research questions and complete a full academic paper in two weeks.
We assess applicants’ readiness for the full research process.
We evaluate intellectual direction, reasoning, and fit with the program structure.
Designed for students who want to engage seriously in the research process.
Students who value thinking through why a question matters, rather than rushing to quick answers.
Students who want to design their own questions and structure their thinking, rather than follow a preset project.
Students who are willing to commit to one topic and explore it seriously, even when the process is challenging.
No prior research experience required — curiosity, discipline, and openness to feedback matter most.
Students move through the research process, starting with their own questions
Students turn initial interests into clear, testable research questions through faculty discussion, examining why they matter and how they connect to existing work.
With faculty guidance, students decide what evidence or data to use, why it is appropriate, and how their argument will be tested and structured.
Through repeated drafts and discussion, students identify logical gaps, unclear assumptions, and weak reasoning, and refine how they think and argue.
With sufficient revision and review, students complete an academic paper and submit it to an appropriate academic journal, concluding the full research process.
Faculty mentors from each field provide direct, in-person guidance throughout the program.
